Begonia 'Martha Stewart' - 2" Rooted Starter Plant Starter Plant 2 inch Hey plant friends Up for grabs is a healthy, fully rooted starter plug of Begonia 'Martha Stewart' If you love textured foliage this one is a must have It features gorgeous, velvety olive green leaves on top, but the real showstopper is the deep burgundy red undersides Unlike upright cane begonias, this variety loves to trail and cascade It looks incredible spilling over the side of a hanging basket, trailing down a shelf, or growing wild in a humid terrarium/vivarium setup It is a super fast grower once it gets settled in What you’re getting One well rooted starter plant actively growing in a 2-inch plastic nursery pot I ship these in their actual pots with soil intact, which drastically cuts down on shipping stress compared to bareroot shipping You will receive a plant similar in size and health to the one pictured, though minor variations in leaf count and shape are totally normal for live plants Quick Care Tips Light - Bright, indirect light is best Keep it out of direct harsh afternoon sun so those fuzzy leaves don't get scorched Water Let the top inch or two of soil dry out before watering again They don't like soggy feet, so make sure your pot drains well Humidity It loves a humid environment but does just fine in standard household humidity as long as it isn't sitting right next to an A/C or heating vent Shipping Info I pack my plants and ship them only on Mondays to make sure they are safe and securely to ensure they make it to you in great shape Keep in mind that live plants can occasionally get a little stressed during transit (they've been in a dark box, after all) If a leaf drops or it looks a bit limp upon arrival, just give it a small drink of water, put it in bright indirect light and it should perk right back up in a few days If your local weather is freezing or experiencing extreme heat, please send me a message right after ordering so we can coordinate a safe shipping day If a heat pack isn't purchased during cold weather the refund is null and void I typically only ship on Monday or Tuesday so the plant isnt sitting and cooking in the post until delivery
