Hey there Plant Friends... If you’re looking to add a serious pop of color to your plant shelf this little Rex Begonia is it Honestly, pictures don't quite do justice to how the leaves catch the light they have this incredible, almost metallic shimmer with deep magentas, silvers, and rich burgundy tones This isn't a fresh, unrooted cutting that you have to stress over babying in water It’s a fully established, actively growing starter plant with a solid root system, snug in a 2 inch nursery pot and ready to take off Because no two begonias grow exactly alike, your plant will have its own unique swirl of colors and leaf shapes but it will be just as healthy, rooted, and vibrant as the ones you see in the photos How to keep it happy Light Give it plenty of bright, indirect light Think right near a sunny window but just out of reach of those harsh, direct afternoon rays that can scorch the leaves Water Wait until the top inch of soil feels dry before watering it again They hate sitting in soggy soil so good drainage is key Humidity They love a humid environment. If your home runs a bit dry, it’ll be happiest near a humidifier, on a pebble tray, or tucked inside a terrarium/vivarium setup Just avoid misting the leaves directly so they stay nice and clean Or better yet nside your terrarium/vivarium Pets Heads up if you have furry roommates the Rex Begonias are toxic to cats and dogs so definitely keep this one on a high shelf IMPORTANT WINTER SHIPPING NOTE Because these are tropical babies and they cannot survive freezing transit temperatures A heat pack is required in your order for our "arrive alive" guarantee to apply If your local weather is cold and a heat pack isn't added to the order, I unfortunately cannot guarantee or replace the plant if it arrives damaged by the cold. If it haooens to get damaged aend me a photograph and Ill either replace if I have a spare one, or issue a refund Let's keep your new plant safe and warm I only ship out on Mondays so the plant isn't sitting in the post office over the weekend Questions I'm availble to chat about plants or answer questions, answer inquiries without an automated response Ask away !!!
