Antique Kerr Mason Jar Terrarium Kit — Selkirk Mountain Forest

Build your own miniature Selkirk Mountain forest inside a piece of history. This DIY terrarium kit is housed in a genuine vintage Kerr Mason jar — each one over a century old, with the authentic wear and character that only comes with age. No two jars are exactly alike.

What's included in your kit:

1 genuine antique Kerr Mason jar (century-old, one-of-a-kind)
Premium terrarium soil, layered for proper drainage and root health
Activated charcoal, to keep your ecosystem fresh and prevent mold
Lush live moss, for ground cover and natural humidity retention
One hand-picked stone, sourced from a local stream bed, for natural styling
One live Marcgravia plant (8+ leaves) — a slow-growing, uniquely shingled climbing vine, perfect for beginners building their first bio-active habitat

Why this kit? Everything you need is pre-measured and ready to layer — no guesswork, no separate trips to source materials. The Marcgravia plant is an ideal starter species: hardy, visually striking as it matures, and well-suited to the enclosed, humid environment a sealed jar provides.

Optional add-on:

Want a self-cleaning ecosystem? Add Dwarf White Isopods — they naturally break down waste and keep your terrarium healthy long-term.
Shipping somewhere cold? Add a heat pack to protect your live plant in transit — required for orders shipping to freezing climates to qualify for our arrival guarantee.

A note on shipping: Live plants are shipped with care, but cold-climate buyers should add a heat pack at checkout to ensure their Marcgravia arrives healthy and thriving.
