Light and Placement

Place your purse terrarium in bright, indirect or filtered light. A spot near an east- or north-facing window can work well. Keep it away from harsh direct afternoon sun, which may overheat the container and scorch the foliage. Avoid placing it directly beside heaters, air conditioners, or drafty windows. A bright room with gentle, consistent light will help the moss, Fittonia, and Marcgravia stay healthy and attractive.

Good airflow helps reduce common plant problems, so avoid keeping the terrarium in a hot, enclosed location. Rotate the display occasionally so the plants receive even light.
